Mitchells Plain SAPS weekend crime prevention successes

Mitchell’s Plain SAPS conducted several crime prevention roadblocks, stop and searches operations during the past weekend. Police arrested 91 people for drug related crimes, contact crimes and property related crimes.

Twenty eight arrests were drug related, six for drunk driving and others for contact and property related crimes.

Tik straws and packets, dagga parcels and dagga cigarettes, mandrax, heroine, a 9mm round and a pistol holster was confiscted.

Mitchell’s Plain police management wish to express their appreciation to the community for their assistance during the crime prevention operations and urge communities to continue the reporting of criminal activities in the fight against crime by phoning Crime Stop on 08600 10111 or their nearest police station.
