Cope says Mbhazima Shilowa's house will be auctioned off unless he pays the party’s president Mosiuoa Lekota's legal fees.
Head of communications Philip Dexter says the order was handed down by the South Gauteng High Court.
This follows an illegal congress in May last year in which a motion of no confidence was passed in Lekota and Shilowa was elected acting president.
Lekota successfully challenged the process in court, leading to the order for Shilowa to pay Lekota's legal costs.
