Lusanda Bill

The Democratic Alliance wants the Minister of Water and Environmental Affairs Rejoice Mabudafhasi to declare a short-term suspension on rhino hunting so that improved controls can be instituted.
The DA’s Gareth Morgan says many Thai nationals who get hunting permits in North West allegedly do not shoot the rhino themselves, making the hunts illegal.
It is also reported that the horns are mounted as trophies for export, only to later enter the illegal trade in rhino horn.
Morgan wants this practice to be stopped.
