Scores of students from private colleges in Pretoria brought the capital to a standstill today.

Students marched and sang in protest against police killings, drug abuse and the general criminality in the country.

According to Freek Bester, principal of the Christian Progressive College, students want to play an active role in stopping on-going attacks on law enforcers and in getting society involved in crime prevention.

In the past few months cop killings in the country has increased.
