The Public Servants Association says they will now meet with the bargaining council on Friday to discuss government’s new wage offer for state employees after last week’s meeting was postponed.
PSA’s Manie de Clercq says he remains hopeful that an agreement will be reached.
He says currently they have an unofficial offer of 6-point-8-percent, but Public servants want an eight percent wage increase.
De Clercq says they don’t really want to resort to strike action.
