Women, Children and People with Disabilities Minister Lulu Xingwana wants half of the five-million jobs that are to be created in the next 10 years to go to women.

Launching Women’s Month in Pretoria yesterday evening, Xingwana said she will use the month to canvass for this ideal.

She wants the economic empowerment of women to take centre stage during Women's Month.

President Jacob Zuma released a nine-billion-Rands job-creation fund for the creation of the five-million jobs.
