South Africa is in for another bout of extremely cold weather and rough seas around the coast. The Weather Service warns that the Northern Cape, the Eastern Cape, KwaZulu-Natal, the Free State and Mpumalanga will bear the brunt of the cold conditions.

Snow can be expected over the south-western parts of KwaZulu-Natal. In the Free State, Bethlehem will experience a maximum temperature of minus two degrees while Sutherland will register eight degrees and Cape Town 13 degrees.

Sea swells up to seven metres can be expected in places around the coast.
