Eastern Cape police say an elderly woman and her two children were killed in Lusikisiki last night.
A group of men allegedly accused them of practising witchcraft.
The 65-year-old woman and her 24-year-old son and 20-year-old daughter were shot and hacked to death.
A witness pointed out a 30-year-old suspect who is alleged to have been in the house during the attack.
He was arrested and police are still searching for more suspects.
