The Western Cape’s Policing Needs and Priorities report was announced today.
Western Cape MEC of Community Safety Dan Plato says he will actively engage with National Minister of Police Nathi Mthethwa about how best to implement these needs and priorities by requesting a meeting with the Minister.
Plato says there are very important issues included in the documents such as domestic violence.
He also said that they will discuss the break down in communication between the police and the communities.
Plato added that the meeting with the National Police Minister will address many issues related to the safety of the communities.
