Two suspects were arrested by police members during an undercover operation in Green Point on Thursday for selling fraudulent Cape Town Jazz Festival accreditation bands.

It is believed that many people have bought these bands, but Police Spokesperson Captain FC van Wyk said those people will be denied entry to the event.

Van Wyk explains further that the suspects have been detained until their court appearance on Monday at the Cape Town Magistrates court.

“The second standing on the matter is now under investigation and there is reason to believe that a number of people may have purchased these fraudulent entries to the event, however they will not be allowed entry,” explains Vyn Wyk.

Van Wyk adds that the investigation continues.
