The young of communist league of South Africa in Gauteng has expressed its concerns of the increasing number of rape incidences in the province.

Lindiwe Mtshali head of gender commission in gauteng said it is particularly in the North Western areas of the greater Tshwane district the rape incidences are coupled with other forms of violence including disappearances and murder of the victims.

Mtshali adds that they are appealing to the communities to unite and embark on a standing mobilisation against this evil.

Mtshali said that law enforcement agencies need to strengthen their hand and also apply harsher measures to these violent crimes.
