A 42-year-old Chief Traffic Officer charged with murdering his wife and children

A 42-year-old Chief Traffic Officer who was wanted for murder handed himself over to the police today. 

It is alleged that the officer shot and killed his two children aged 8 and 12-years-old and his estranged wife in Siyabuswa.

The officer has been on the run since December last year. 

Police Spokesperson Selvy Mohlala said they are appreciate the work and commitment that the investigating team showed, who ensure that even if the suspect was on the run, they continued with the investigation until the suspect was brought to book today.

Mohlala said they hope that the will of justice will play its part.
