ANC: Ellen Tshabalala resigning was the honourable thing to do

The African National Congress along with the Portfolio Committee on Communications has welcomed the resignation of Ellen Tshabalala as the chairperson of the South African Broadcasting Corporation.

After weeks of investigations, she was eventually found guilty of misconduct and dishonesty after she lied about her educational qualifications to Parliament.

Tshabalala handed in her resignation letter on Wednesday.

ANC Spokesperson Keith Khoza says, it has been evident that there were issues that bothered on her having to lie to parliament

Khoza says the ANC thinks that her resignation was an honourable thing to do.

Meanwhile it has been reported that Tshabalala could possibly face criminals charges in regards with this matter.
