Western Cape MEC of Community Safety, Dan Plato has called on Cape Town Police to enlighten the community about a possible serial killer, after having found female bodies on a field bordering Acacia Park and Acre Road in Kensington.
MEC Plato urges the Western Cape South African Police Service to make an official statement to clarify this very serious situation.

Ministerial Spokesperson Ewald Botha said unofficial comments and lack of clarification can cause great panic and confusion in our communities, considering that people walk across the field where the bodies were found in Kensington.

Botha added that communication with the community will ensure that the community can take the necessary preventive measures and alternative detours if needed.
