A two year old baby was knocked over by a Golden Arrow bus after she fell from her mothers back. The baby, who was tied to her mother’s back by blanket, came undone when her mother fought off men who tried to steal her cellphone.
On Friday afternoon, the baby’s mother, Siphokazi Gontsi, and her sister Zandile were walking to their brother’s home in Nyanga, when the incident took place.
Nyanga SAPS spokesperson Captain Ntoboxolo Sitshitshi says, that one of the men is still at large.
“We have arrested three suspects, a 19 year old, 22 and a 24 year old. They will be facing charges of robbery. We have one outstanding suspect.”
