The AfriForum Youth is appealing to parents to enrol their children in schools where they will have the advantage of mother tongue education.

AfriForum Youth, the youth movement of trade union Solidarity’s civil rights initiative, has also asked parents to demand of government to create more mother tongue schools.

This is in response to last year’s matriculation results.

Chairperson Ernst Roets says the results again showed that learners who are educated in their mother tongue perform better than those who receive instruction through other languages.
