The Congress of South Africa’s Trade Unions Cosatu says that since the price of fuel is sharply dropping, taxi fares should be taken into consideration. Cosatu says when fuel prices decreases food also decrease but taxi fares remains the same.
Cosatu Secretary General Patrick Craven said they may put pressure on Taxi associations to review taxi fares so that the fuel prices drop can make a difference to consumers too.
“We are also hoping and demanding that all those companies that who increased their prices when petrol went up will now bring the prices down proportionately”
Craven added that it was justified for them to put the prices up because the fuel price was high, now the fuel has dropped “surely they must bring their prices down.
Transport is a major factor in this and down ward shift of all prices must begin given the role the fuel plays in the industry, said Craven.

I agree with Craven the cost involved in travelling with taxi is a lot. Taking into consideration to live in todays' world is expensive.
There is a mistake at the end of the article there is a ., before Craven.
Why not get the views of the public im sure people will be vocal...isnt bush radio supposed to be the station of/for the people...?
