The African Christian Democratic Party says it is disappointed that President Barack Obama has randomly overturned the United States ban on funding of family planning organisations which carry out or facilitate abortions overseas.

The ACDP’s Cheryllyn Dudley says this will impact heavily on Africa.

“We know that there has been a strong push of a solution in Africa in terms of the problems that Africa is facing, child mortality rate to make the solution”

Dudley said the situation is quite “horrific” and killing of children was not a solution. There are other solutions that need to be finded or implemented.

This release of funding into Africa for such purposes Dudley said the cause serious concern.
