The price of oil-based goods will rise and fall at midnight tonight when paraffin goes up by between 13 and 17 cents while petrol will decrease by three cents a litre.
The South African National Union says that paraffin is becoming increasingly costly for the poor who use it on a daily basis.
The Union says the increase in the price of paraffin is totally uncalled for as winter arrives and many people depend on paraffin for warmth and cooking.
