A twelfth person has been confirmed dead today following the tragic fire that gutted through the Paarl Printing factory more that two weeks ago.
According to police 30 year-old Danielle Albertyn died in Tygerberg Hospital yesterday. Those who are still in hospital have reportedly suffered very serious injuries.
Nelia Burger, Paarl Media spokesperson said that shift leader in bindery, Frans van Wyk had been released from hospital yesterday.
According to reports the printing plant which is one of the company’s 11 presses and prints mostly books and magazines, caught fire shortly before 8am on April 17.

danielle albertyn has one daughter who is 6 yrs old and one son who is 4 yrs old . the papers has got the ages wrong.
