One person has died, and another two were injured when a vehicle and a motorbike collided on Helshoogte Road near Hammanshand Road in Stellenbosch on Saturday.
ER24 spokesperson for the Western Cape said the deceased, travelling on the bike, was a male patient estimated to be around the age of eighteen years old.
He was declared dead on arrival of emergency services.
“Another patient also travelling on the bike sustained suspected multiple fractures and head injury, he was transported by Metro to hospital in a serious condition.”
Wadeley added that the driver of the Ford Fiesta, a 27-year old female, sustained minor injuries.
The 27-year-old was taken to Stellenbosch Medi-Clinic by ER24 ambulance in a stable condition.
