Emergency Rescue 24 paramedics were called out to an accident scene yesterday evening, where two police officers were hit by a car that crashed into another accident scene that the officers were attending to.
ER24 spokesperson for the Western Cape, Tristan Wadeley, said the incident took place on Borchard’s QuarryRoad at the Michigan Road intersection in Airport Industria.
“The police officers luckily sustained only minor injuries, but were still taken by ER24 ambulance to N1 City Hospital for further assessment.”
As for the accident that the officers were originally dispatched to, no injuries were reported.
The driver of the vehicle, was arrested on the scene for being under the influence of alcohol.
