The number of confirmed cases of swine flu has gone up to 12 in the Western Cape after new four cases were reported.
The additional cases are of people who travelled abroad.
“Four of these cases include of one person who attended a sport tournament in Johannesburg, a person who recently travelled to China, a person travelled to Thailand and Singapore and the last person was recently travelled to Mauritius,” said Departmental spokesperson Faiza Steyn.
“The four had mild cases of the virus and are currently in isolation at their homes, and none of them have been taken to hospital,” confirmed Steyn.
