A collision involving four vehicles, including a taxi and a pedestrian left eight people injured this morning on 35th Avenue approaching Parow.
The pedestrian sustained multiple injuries and was in a critical condition on arrival of emergency services.
Four other people sustained moderate injuries in a car that crashed through the fence of a nearby school.
“Three more people from the other vehicles involved in the accident, sustained minor injuries. The patients were taken by ER24 and Metro Emergency Services ambulances to various surrounding hospitals.
“It is alleged that the driver of the taxi had a seizure which caused a chain reaction of
collisions. It is unclear which vehicle hit the pedestrian,” said ER24 spokesperson Tristan Wadeley.
