The quick response from members of Hout Bay police led to the arrest of two suspects wanted for housebreaking on Friday .
Police were alerted of a housebreaking in the area, where the suspects took off with stolen items to the value of R20 000.
Both the suspects ran into the bushes. The suspects dropped a laptop, DVD player and a pair of shoes, which was taken earlier in a house robbery in another
area.
One of the suspects was armed with a knife. After a 5 hour search for the suspects, police called off the search.
The mountain area was cornered off and the Dog Unit and the chopper were deployed to assist in the search. No arrests were made at this stage.
After 4 to 5 hours the search was called off. The other law enforcement agency returned to the scene and found the two suspects hiding in a bush.
They were then arrested.
