The British Foreign Office has made a comprehensive guide available for British soccer fans visiting South Africa for the 2010 World Cup.
Tips include avoiding widespread fraud at bank auto teller machines and looking out for rocks placed in roads by gun-toting hijackers.
The Foreign Office also warns on a prevalent HIV pandemic, cholera flare-ups, and inflated accommodation prices.
But it accedes that the South African authorities give high priority to protecting tourists.
