A man was arrested early this morning for allegedly killing another in a shebeen in Soweto, Johannesburg police said.
Inspector Kay Makhubela says the incident occured at Moroka, White City after an argument ensued between the two.
The man was shot in the upper body and died on the scene.
The man was one of 233 arrested in the Moroka area over the weekend.
Crimes they were arrested for included malicious damage to property, possession of dagga, attempted murder, rape, drunken driving and pointing a firearm.
Another 108 were arrested for drinking in public and public drunkenness.
