The minister for International Relations and Cooperation Maite Nkoana-Mashabane says South African and China are expected to sign a comprehensive strategic partnership agreement during President Jacob Zuma's upcoming visit to China.
Nkoana-Mashabane an ANC MP, told the media that in Beijing after meetings with her Chinese counterpart and Vice-President Xi Jinping that the two countries has vowed to further strengthen their strategic partnership.
Meanwhile the Newsflash news agency reports that despite some scathing personal attacks in the British media, President Jacob Zuma has described his first official visit to the country as successful.
Reports while addressing the South-Africa-United Kingdom Business Forum in London yesterday, Zuma said the visit had taken relations between the two countries to another level.
Zuma said was due to the highly successful nature of all the individual and collective engagements.
The President says the government’s enthusiasm about working harder to strengthen relations has been given added impetus.
