The owner of the bus that went off the road in the Hex River Valley in the Boland yesterday may have also died along with other 27victims.
Transport officials announced that the owner at one stage in the journey drove from Engcobo in the Eastern Cape.
Arrive Alive spokesperson in the Eastern Cape, Tsepo Machaea says they could not rule out the possibility that the owner of the bus may be amongst the victims.
He however says they are yet to track down the vehicle’s owner.
Several passengers who survived the ordeal are still in shock with many still in hospital.
Those who were discharged waited for relatives to pick them up at hospital.
Other survivors made their way to the De Doorns Police Station to collect luggage removed from the horrific scene.
Meanwhile Western Cape Community Safety MEC Lennit Max said a full investigation into the incident was underway.
