A man was gunned down outside the Blue down Magistrate’s Court this afternoon.
Police say the man was at the court to attend his brother’s case when an unidentified man opened fire at him at close range, killing him instantly.
“The victim was fatally wounded and declared dead on the scene. The deceased is known to be a member of the 26 gang,” said spokesperson Nomathemba Muavha.
She adds the suspect fled the scene on foot and was later picked up by a white Citi Golf.
The motive for the shooting is still being investigated.
