Three people killed after their car was hit by a train

Three people were killed yesterday when their vehicle was hit by a passenger train on a railway line in De Doorns.

Six adults and a 3 year old boy travelling in a white Toyota Carolla were looking for a family member at Alfa farm in De Doorns, when their vehicle got stuck on the railway line.

An unidentified female and two males were killed and three others were seriously injured.

The injured people were taken to a nearby Worcester hospital and the three year old boy sustained minor injuries.

A culpable homicide docket were opened.
