Philippi-East Police arrested three suspects for House Robbery at Block 5, Lower Cross Roads in Philippi-East on Monday.
The three suspects were allegedly armed with knives when they entered the victim’s house.
One of the suspects assaulted the victim with an empty bottle, where after they took a television, DVD player and an amplifier.
Philippi-East SAPS Warrant Officer Nondumiso Paul After says they received information from the community and with the prompt response by SAPS they were able to recover all the stolen items.
“We also arrested three suspects aged 19 and 20 at their residential addresses in Philippi-East, “he said.
Philippi-East SAPS management would like to thank the community of Philippi-East for working together with the police in the fight against crime.
The suspects will appear in the Athlone Magistrate’s Court once they have been charged.
