The African Christian Democratic Party today used the Justice Department budget vote to express its concern regarding the treatment of chapter nine institutions.
ACDP parliamentarian Steve Swarts made the remarks in relation to an unauthorised police raid on the offices of the Public Protector earlier this year.
Swarts says the Human Rights Commission has fallen victim to similar treatment in the past.
He says ministers and their departments should be held accountable.
