School learners will be happy to hear that the Basic Education Department has given them two more long weekends this year.
Learners will be given the 17th of this month and the 8th of August off due to their proximity to public holidays.
Department spokesperson Granville Whittle says the extra holidays will not affect teaching time.
Whittle added that the extra holidays had already been factored into the school calendar.
