Government and its unions have resumed talks after a deadlock over wage negotiations.
Unions are demanding a nine-point-nine-percent increase, while government is offering five-point-two-percent.
Despite the talks, Public Service and Administration Minister Richard Baloyi says he cannot guarantee that the country won’t be hit by another public servants strike.
Last year, South Africa was brought to a virtual standstill when thousands of civil servants downed tools.
