Eleven people have been arrested in connection with a robbery at a luxury hotel in Hout Baby.
Six armed robbers entered the hotel yesterday, tied up security guards, and made away with flat screen televisions and a computer.
Police spokesperson Warrant Officer November Filander says during the operation, one of the suspects, whose hands and feet were cuffed, tried to escape out of a moving police vehicle and injured himself.
“The recovered items are estimated at R100 000-00 and the investigation is continuing for more suspects.
“The eleven suspects aged between 30 and 40 are due to appear in the Wynberg Magistrate’s Court on charges of armed robbery, once they have been charged,” said Filander.
