ANC regional secretary of eThekwini, Sbu Sibiya, has been shot dead outside his home in Inanda, Durban.
Police spokesperson Phindile Radebe says the 40-year-old Sibiya was shot in the head and shoulder while in his driveway late last night.
It is not clear how many people were involved in the shooting
Police have not made any arrests yet.
