Lusanda Bill

Five of six unions in the metals and engineering industry embarked on a strike yesterday, while parties were locked in negotiations to avert extended industrial action.
Workers plan to march in Welkom in the Free State today, in support of their demand for a 13-percent wage increase.
The initial demand was 20-percent but it was brought down.
Employers are offering seven-percent. Spokesperson for the United Association of South Africa André Venter says employers also issued a notice of lockout.
