It has been alleged that Public Protector Thuli Madonsela is facing arrest for fraud and corruption.
It has been reported that police are investigating illegal activities which took place while Madonsela was a commissioner at the SA Law Reform Commission.
These activities allegedly took place three years ago.
Public Protector Thuli Madonsela is investigating National Police Commissioner General Bheki Cele's alleged involvement in the controversial police headquarters deal.
In an interview Police Minister Nathi Mthethwa said that he was surprised at the news that police were planning to arrest Public Protector Thuli Madonsela on charges of fraud of corruption.

If Madonsela is indeed guilty of such we have a crisis. Corruption have become a weapon of mass destruction. If there is no substance in the allegation then indeed the independence of the organ of the state is under threat. Executing your task without fear or favor have become just a slogan.
