Disruptions are expected in Johannesburg today with unions predicting that thousands of their members will turn up for a march through the city streets.
Members of the Chemical, Energy, Paper, Printing, Wood and Allied Workers Union and the General Industries Workers Union will be marching to the offices of the employer organisations.
The workers will gather at the Workers’ Library at ten this morning.
Ceppwawu is demanding a wage increase of between 11- and 13% while employers are offering between 4 and 7%.
