The Democratic Nursing Organisation of South Africa, DENOSA, says as it celebrates Women’s Day, it notes that gender injustice persists in the country.
It also says nurses, mostly women, are overworked, at times subjected to violence and injury, and suffer shortages of equipment.
DENOSA says women are a blessing in the lives of those who are unable to take care of themselves.
They are also Mothers, pillars of strength in homes, and backbone of nations.
