A student was killed and two others bystanders were wounded in a shoot-out in Kagiso on the West Rand following a house robbery this morning.
Police chased the suspects who had sped away in a luxury car they had allegedly stolen from a house in Randfontein.
In Kagiso, the suspects opened fire, and the bystanders were hit in the crossfire.
An officer was injured when a police van crashed.
Two suspects were arrested and linked to other murders and robberies.
A search is on for their three accomplices.
