Lusanda Bill
07 October 2011
The Democratic Alliance says it is unacceptable that people living on communally owned land are still waiting for their land rights to be made secure.
The DA submitted a private member’s bill on communal land rights to the National Assembly.
The DA’s Annette Steyn says the objective of the bill is to give people living on communally owned land individual ownership.
Steyn added that if people have ownership of the land they can use the land to earn an income off the land.
