The Association of Surgeons of South Africa say they oppose disciplinary action to be taken against senior clinicians in the Eastern Cape.
The three doctors from the Port Elizabeth area caused controversy last month when they went public with continuing problems.
Some of the mentioned problems were understaffing and nonpayment of salaries at provincial hospitals.
Assosiation Chairman Dr Martin Veller says although they breached their terms of employment he believes ongoing silence would be morally and ethically intolerable.
