A 74-year-old woman was killed when fire gutted servants’ accommodation at a house in Northcliff, Randburg, early this morning.
The cause of the fire is being investigated, but paramedics say a paraffin lamp may have started the blaze.
Firefighters managed to extinguish the flames which had completely gutted that room.
Paramedics couldn’t do anything to save the victim. No one else was injured in the incident.
