The African National Congress in the Western Cape said it condemns the latest spate of killings in the province.

This follows the killings of police officers and innocent bystanders in Cape Town.

ANC Provincial Secretary Songezo Mjongile said these senseless killings must stop.

Mjongile said that they are calling on communities to exercise vigilance and to expose all the criminal elements who are involved in activities of random shootings, gangsterism and drug trade.

“In our view it’s only going to be done through partnership with the communities that we will be able to win the war against crime, stop killing our police offices,” added Mjongile.
