Body of a new born baby found in Rondebosch

Western Cape Police have confirmed that a body of a new born baby was found in Rondebosch late on Wednesday night. 

The circumstances surrounding the death of the baby are not known at this stage. 

Police Spokesperson Andre Traut said the circumstances surrounding the child’s death are being investigated by Lansdown police.

He added that the body was discovered by a vagrant and alerted the police.

The police have urged anyone with information with to contact crime stop on 086 00 10111.
