The African
Christian Democratic Party said it supports the guilty verdict against former
Communications Minister Dina Pule, after she was found guilty of most of the
charges levelled against her.
ACDP’s Wayne Thring said the fine and suspension handed down to Pule by the Ethics Committee is a slap on the wrist for her but a slap in the face for the citizens of
Thring said for the
Former Minister to be given two weeks suspension on from Committee meetings and
also docking a month salary is nothing compared to her what she did.
Parliament's Joint
Committee on Ethics revealed that Pule had breached the code of conduct of
Members of Parliament.
The allegations against
Pule were based on her failure to disclose her relationship with Phosane
Mngqibisa.
The Democratic
Alliance has also welcomed the verdict.
