A 44 year old man has sustained about 70 percent burn wounds over his body, after a chemical explosion at a company in Waltloo in Pretoria
Netcare 911 Spokesperson Santi Steinman said the man was treated and stabilised at the scene before being transferred to hospital.
Steinmaan said the details and the exact cause of the explosion is not known.
The police are still investigating the circumstances surrounding the accident.
