Corruption Watch said traffic officer corruption among the top forms of corruption reported

Corruption Watch released its annual report, and in the report it also revealed what the public had to say about corruption in the country.

Over 3 223 incidents were reported to Corruption Watch, about 1 227 incidents reported involved the abuse of public resources by someone involved in either the government or business or both.

CW’s Bongi Mlangeni said they have found the highest form of corruption they have been informed about to be municipal around procurement issues.

“Traffic police corruption makes about 14.4% of our report, and school corruption is where we find another big problem” Mlangeni said.

Mlangeni said school corruption amounts to no less than 11% of the cases they deal with.
